How to make Instant Pot beef tips
Step 1: Add onion, beef chunks, 2 cups broth, Worcestershire sauce, bouillon, Italian seasoning, and pepper.
Step 2: Close and lock the lid. Be sure that the pressure release valve is set to sealing. Press manual high pressure and adjust the cooking time to 25 minutes.
Step 3: When the cooking time has finished, let the pressure release naturally for 15 minutes. Then turn the pressure release valve to venting to release any remaining pressure.
Step 4: Meanwhile, stir the remaining 1/4 cup broth and cornstarch together in a small bowl.
Step 5: Pour the beef broth mixture into the pot, and press sauté. Let the mixture cook, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
Step 6: Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
Tips
- Mushrooms: Mushrooms make a great addition to this recipe. If you’d like to add mushrooms, add sliced mushrooms along with the onions.
- Serving suggestions: The beef tips go well with mashed potatoes, mashed cauliflower, egg noodles, or rice.
- Sides: Beef tips are fairly rich, so I like to serve them with either a green salad or steamed broccoli or steamed green beans.
Storage
Store any leftover beef tips in an airtight container in the refrigerator. The beef tips will keep for up to 4 days when properly stored in the fridge.

Notes
- Stew meat: Cubed chuck roast also works well in this recipe.
- Broth: I like to use reduced-sodium broth to better control the sodium level. You can use unsalted broth or regular broth if you prefer.

Hi! This recipe was delicious!! I have made similar before but this is the best tasting (and also lots of gravy which my hubby loves). Will definitely use this recipe again!! Thank you
Thank you!
Like all your recipes this one look’s really good. I plan on making this in the next few day.
I like a little spice in my foods so can you suggest a spice that would work best for this dish? I’m horrible cook but with your recipes people think I’m a great cook.
Thanks big time.
Thank you so much! What a nice comment! Just to make sure that I’m answering your question, are you looking for other seasoning ideas beyond the Italian seasoning? If so, this dish is basically tender pieces of meat in brown gravy, so seasonings like garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika would all go well. I hope that answers your question, but if it doesn’t, please let me know!
