Ingredient notes

Ingredients for Instant Pot olive garden chicken pasta in dishes.
  • Chicken breast: Feel free to use chicken tenderloins or chicken thighs. If you’re using chicken thighs, you may need to increase the cooking time.
  • Pasta: You can use different shapes of short pasta like penne, rigatoni, or a similar pasta.
  • Chicken broth: I like to use reduced-sodium chicken broth because the dressing is on the saltier side. You can also use a bouillon cube + 4 cups of hot water in place of the chicken broth.
  • Cream cheese: I recommend using full-fat or reduced-fat cream cheese. I don’t recommend using fat-free cream cheese.

My wife and I enjoyed this dish. Made it for the first time this evening. I may go to 6 ounces of cream cheese though. Definitely will be added to the rotation.

Kate, This was DELISH and oh so easy!! I went lighter on the dressing (~ 1/2 to 3/4 cup?) and added some defrosted green peas at the end with the cheeses. Can’t wait for leftovers tomorrow! Thanks!😊

  4. This is a HUGE hit for my family! If I wanted to double it, would I need to double the time?

    1. Thank you! No, when I double pasta, I keep the cooking time the same. It will take longer for the pot to come to pressure, but the cooking time should remain the same.

It was a bit too tangy for our taste buds. I will try again with 1/2 cup of Olive Garden dressing and maybe add a 1/2 cup of cream after pressure cooking.
