Step 1: Lightly grease the Instant Pot liner and then add the water.

Step 2: Add the quinoa to the water. Do not stir.
Step 3: Close and lock the lid and turn the pressure release valve to sealing. Press manual high pressure and adjust the cooking time to 1 minute.
Step 4: Once the cooking time ends, let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes. Carefully turn the pressure release valve to venting. Unlock and open the lid.
Step 5: Fluff the quinoa before serving.

Tips
- Ingredient order: I add the water first and don’t stir to avoid a burn warning.
- Flavor: For more flavor, substitute vegetable broth or chicken broth for the water.
Serving suggestions
Quinoa makes a great side dish for dishes like creamy garlic chicken or cranberry pork loin. It also is the base for my barbecue chicken quinoa salad.
Storage
Store any leftover quinoa in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will keep for up to 4 days when properly stored in the fridge.

- Add the quinoa to the water. Do not stir.1 cup (170 g) quinoa
- Close and lock the lid and turn the pressure release valve to sealing.
- Press manual high pressure and adjust the cooking time to 1 minute. It should take about 10-15 minutes to come to pressure.
- Once the cooking time ends, let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes.
- Carefully turn the pressure release valve to venting. Unlock and open the lid.
- Fluff the quinoa before serving.
