How to make Instant Pot chicken wings

Step 1: Add the chicken wings and water in the Instant Pot inner pot.

Step 2: Season with salt.

Step 3: Close and lock the lid. Select manual high pressure, and adjust the cooking time to 10 minutes.

Step 4: Once the cooking time has finished, let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes.

Step 5: Either fry or broil wings to crisp them up. To broil the wings: Preheat the oven to broil.

Step 6: In a large bowl, toss the wings in the sauce.

Step 7: Place on a baking sheet and broil for about 5 minutes, or until crispy.
Flip the wings and repeat.

Step 8: To fry the wings: Place the wings on a cooling rack on a baking sheet and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Step 9: Heat the oil to 385°F in a large heavy pot.

Step 10: Once at temperature, carefully add 7 or 8 wings into the oil and fry for 3 minutes, or until crispy. Don’t overcrowd the pot.

Step 11: Remove and place on a clean cooling rack or parchment paper or paper towel-lined plate. Repeat with the remaining wings.

Storage

Instructions
 

  • Add the chicken wings and water in the Instant Pot inner pot.
  • Season with salt.
  • Close and lock the lid.
  • Select Manual high pressure, and adjust the cooking time to 10 minutes.
