These Instant Pot ground beef gyros are a short-cut way to enjoy a yummy Greek-inspired dinner on weeknights. While they aren’t authentic, they are easy and delicious!

The meat is also great for meal prep, and it makes great leftovers because it tastes even better the next day.

Toppings and substitutions

  • Ground beef – I like to use 85-90% lean ground beef. Ground turkey or ground chicken would also work. If using ground turkey or chicken, you may need to add a tablespoon of olive oil before browning.
  • White onion – Yellow onion will also work.
  • Garlic – Feel free to add more garlic if you prefer.
  • Beef broth – I like to use reduced-sodium beef broth to control the salt levels.
  • Oregano
  • Greek seasoning – I use Cavender’s Greek seasoning.
  • Red wine vinegar

  1. Really lacked flavor. Didn’t like the vinegar

    1. I’m surprised to hear that! You can always add additional seasoning after cooking if you prefer. Vinegar is common in gyro recipes, but you can use lemon juice if that’s more to your liking.
